Cochrane Systematic Review
Title: Manual therapy and exercise for lateral elbow pain
Good to know: A three-week treatment with manual therapy can contribute to a reduction in pain and a reduction in physical impairment compared to a placebo treatment (low-certainty evidence). The combination of manual therapy and exercise therapy compared to minimal treatment slightly reduces pain (low-certainty evidence).
Limitations: Lack of information on harms.
Evidence: Cochrane Review (publication in May 2024); inclusion of 23 studies with a total of 1612 participants; comparison between manual therapy, exercise therapy (or a combination) and placebo, minimal or no treatment with the aim of evaluating the benefits and harms of manual and exercise therapy.
