Cochrane Rehabilitation
Cochrane Rehabilitation
Cochrane Rehabilitation was launched on December 16, 2016 as Cochrane Field to support the production of systematic reviews relevant to rehabilitation and the translation and transfer of evidence relevant to rehabilitation.
Cochrane is currently reorganizing itself and intends to make a clear distinction between editorial work and the production of evidence syntheses in the future. The plan is to establish Evidence Synthesis Units, which are essentially formed by experts who provide methodological knowledge for Cochrane reviews, as well as thematic groups of clinical experts who prepare Cochrane reviews.
As part of this reorganization, Cochrane Rehabilitation has developed a proposal to evolve from a Cochrane Field to a Thematic Group. This is to be called “Functioning, Disability and Rehabilitation”. Cochrane will now decide on this proposal. The new group would also like to include new topics that have not previously been considered by Cochrane Rehabilitation, in particular rehabilitation for sensory and psychological impairments.
